Iwata-Medea Unveils One of the World’s Largest Collections of Airbrushed Art at Portland Open-House Exhibition

Portland, OR — April 1, 2025 — Iwata-Medea, Inc., a leading importer and global distributor of IWATA-branded airbrushes and related products, is proud to announce an exclusive public exhibition: The IWATA Gallery, a curated showcase of original airbrushed artwork, rarely seen by the public.

This landmark event follows Iwata-Medea’s January 2025 acquisition of the Ultimate Air Affair gallery, a treasured collection formerly curated by ASET USA, LLC, of West Valley City, Utah. With the addition of 360 unique pieces, Iwata-Medea now holds what is believed to be one of the most extensive and significant collections of original airbrush-painted art and objects in the world.

To celebrate this milestone, Iwata-Medea will open its doors to the public for the very first time during The IWATA Gallery Open House, taking place:

May 31 and June 1, 2025
10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Iwata-Medea Headquarters
2730 NW 31st Ave., Portland, OR 97210

Admission is free, and visitors will have the rare opportunity to view a selection of works from this expansive collection. The open house coincides with the nearby NW Marine Art Works Open Studios Weekend, offering art lovers a vibrant, art-filled experience just blocks away at 2516 NW 29th Ave.

This exhibition is not only a celebration of the airbrush as a medium, but also a tribute to the artists, collectors, and visionaries who have contributed to the growth and legacy of airbrushed art. Iwata-Medea extends its sincere gratitude to Bill Williams and Sherri Candland for their stewardship of the collection, as well as to Josh Baker, Kari Esper, Charlie Hutton and family, Armando Serrano, Satoru Iwata, Kenichi Osawa, Gary Glass and many others who have played a role in this historic transition.
